The injury that caused Pujols to drop to the end of the first round in many 2008 drafts has been surgically repaired. The operation was not the dreaded Tommy John surgery and the Cardinals expect Pujols to be ready for spring training. This is huge news for Pujols’s fantasy value in 2009. We’ll monitor the situation going into the spring.
